Schedule Wednesdays 6-8 PM via online Google Hangout meetings. First meeting at a Houston area office location to meet in person.

Cost: Houston IIBA Members: No Charge, Non Members $10 per session.

Required Text: IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), available to IIBA members on the IIBA website (www.iiba.org).


Objective:

Support the continuing education of Houston IIBA members

Familiarity with the Babok 3 for use in CBAP exam preparation

Hourly credits toward CBAP exam professional development requirement.


Scope and Purpose:

The scope of the study group sessions are to review and discuss the Babok 3 content to become familiar with the Babok 3 in preparation for the CBAP exam. To pass the CBAP exam candidates will need to know the Babok 3 content so that the information can be quickly recalled when the candidate is attempting the CBAP exam. This course will begin the process of familiarity with the Babok 3 and the location of its content and practice with relevant CBAP exam questions. Candidates will discover that during CBAP exam preparation, they will read the Babok 3 many times. Knowing the location of the content and comprehension of the material will be key to success for exam preparation and attaining CBAP certification. Regardless if the candidate takes a CBAP preparation course or studies on their own with test preparation materials, knowing the Babok 3 will be key to study efficiency and exam success. The advantage of group study is to learn the content with a cohort and reinforce Babok 3 content with group discussion and review of hundreds of CBAP practice questions.

October 3 – Chapter 4 Elicitation  and Collaboration; Chapter 5 Requirements Life Cycle Management; Quiz

October 10  - Chapter 6 Strategy Analysis; Chapter 7 Requirements Analysis and Design and Definition; Quiz

October 17 – Chapter 8 Underlying Competencies; Chapter 9 Solution Evaluation; Quiz

October 24 – Chapter 10 Techniques; Quiz 

October 31 – break

November 7 -- Perspectives; Quiz; Final Exam Questions Review

November 14 – Final Exam Questions Review
