International Institute of Business Analysis^™ (IIBA^®) announced the launch of the new IIBA multi-level certification program for business analysis professionals worldwide. The enhanced certification framework is competency-based using A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge^® (BABOK^®Guide) v3 knowledge areas and standards of practice as a reference and brings together new perspectives, techniques and concepts from across different roles, practices and organizations. 
 
The new global certification program supports four career levels for BA professionals from entry into the profession to mid-career to senior and community thought leader. The new Level 1 is the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis^™ (ECBA^™), this certificate provides a stepping stone for new professionals, students and recent graduates with limited to no BA work experience seeking a foundation for launching their career. 
 
Level 2 is Certification of Capability in Business Analysis^™ (CCBA^®), and supports BA professionals who have 2-3 years of experience. Level 3 is the Certified Business Analysis Professional^™ (CBAP^®), and targets senior level BAs who are in or support decision-making roles in their industry. Launching in 2017, Level 4 is the new Certified Business Analysis Thought Leader^™ (CBATL^™), designed for professionals with over 10 years of experience who are advocates for the discipline and recognized thought leaders within the BA community.
 
The new multi-level certification program from IIBA^® supports the delivery of life-long learning and development by establishing curriculum, requirements and testing of experience, knowledge and skills to meet specific proficiency expectations.
