Lisa Jones is a “newbie” to the IIBA Houston Chapter Board this year.  She has been working in IT as a business analyst for 15+ years in multiple industries such as education, oil & gas, and healthcare.  Additionally, Lisa received her CBAP certification in 2016.  She became enamored with business analysis work early in her career while working on a project as a developer.  She saw its value to the customer and the project, so she played both roles:  BA and developer,  which changed the direction of her career.  She sees helping a team or department solve a problem as exciting and rewarding. As she grew in her career, she played a key role in introducing business analysis practices and methodologies to her team. She believes that the journey from developer to a business analyst and becoming VP of Membership were not accidents because along the way, Jesus captured her heart, and He has been directing her path ever since.  She looks forward to exploring new ways to grow our chapter’s membership.  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and He shall direct your path."
