President - Kristin Gonzalez

Kristin Gonzalez was a Business Analyst in the Uninterruptible Power Systems Business Unit of Toshiba International Corporation from 2010 to 2017. Kristin has been working with Business Analyst responsibilities since 2004 although she did not always have the BA title. She relocated to Miami in 2007 to work on process development and improvement with an international fashion company and returned to Houston in 2010. Kristin joined the IIBA in 2013 and completed the Business Analyst Certification Program with the International Institute of Learning in December 2014.

Secretary - Peter Zimmer    
Peter Zimmer enjoys being a project business analyst, and has most of his experience in the oil & gas industry since obtaining his MBA from SUNY Binghamton. He enjoys the challenge of complex, detail-oriented assignments utilizing analytical and design-minded thinking, and advocates team-first/servant leadership, agile practices and visual models and designs on his projects.
Besides pursuing, and maintaining, your CBAP certification, Peter feels we have BA professional responsibilities to give back to other BA’s though knowledge sharing and mentoring, volunteer with professional groups such as your local IIBA chapter, and actively practice continuous learning. Recently, he is focused on expanding his agile, design thinking and user experience knowledge.

Treasurer - Zora Bryant


Zora Bryant has been in IT Services industry for more than 20 years and is Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). During her career, Zora has worked as a Software Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, and IT Program Manager in the area of IT Service Management. Through her job roles, Zora specialized in BA skills and managing projects for business processes and IT implementations, IT best practices development, and application maintenance and support. Since joining Avanade, in Feb. 2011, she has worked in BA capacity and using her BA knowledge for business process improvements and support. Zora's most recent role has positioned her within Avanade internal organization in support of the internal customers through business management and change enablement practices.

VP Programs - Carol St. Andrew

Carol St Andrew started as a business analyst in 2005, in the mortgage industry as a business analyst. In 2008 she transitioned to working on federal government contracts with Lockheed Martin and now Citizant, Inc. Today she is a requirements manager and CMMI process coach guiding projects in the use of agile approaches. She holds the following certifications: 

  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance (CSPO)
  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (SAFe POPM)
  • CMMI Associate

 She has participated in the pilot mentor program for IIBA as a mentor and she is actively seeking to earn her CBAP within a year.

VP Marketing - Sharon Mendoza

Sharon Mendoza is an Associate Director in Operations Business Support for AIG. She leads a team of business analysts and project managers. Sharon practices continuous learning in business analysis, project management and leadership. She leads a business analyst and project manager training class weekly on agile scrum, requirements gathering, communication and collaboration. As a member of IIBA Sharon participates in study groups and is in her second year serving on the board of the Houston Chapter. ​Sharon is a graduate of McNeese State University with MBA and BS degrees.

In Sharon's Houston Chapter role, her objectives are to promote events, update website and distribute monthly newsletter. 

VP Education - John Bethke

​John Bethke has been a business analyst since before the CBAP existed and began doing the job at Freddie Mac due to the necessity for users to understand the capabilities of the software that supported their business processes. John went on to consult as a Product Manager/Owner and business analyst on strategic and tactical projects for FINRA, US Government, Chevron, Phillips 66 and Halliburton. 

Originally from Washington DC, John moved to Houston in 2014. John received his CBAP in 2013 and has spoken at BA conferences on analysis techniques and process modeling. As the VP of Education, John will share his experiences and help CBAP candidates navigate through the BABOK.

VP Membership - Kateryna Kurach

Kateryna Kurach started her IT career about 15 years ago and half of this time she spent focusing on Business Analysis. 6 years ago she moved to USA from Ukraine and decided to get CBAP certified. That's how she found Houston IIBA chapter. Kateryna attended CBAP preparation training offered by IIBA Houston Chapter, which was very useful to her and she found people in the study sessions to be very encouraging!

Her mission as Houston IIBA chapter board member is to help in creating more networking and educational opportunities for Houston Business Analysts!
